Well-site Biostratigraphy (Real-Time Drilling Support)
Well-site biostraigraphy is an established tool for the real-time monitoring of drilling
principally used to determine the following:
- Depth-by-depth age interpretation of drilled section.
- Real-time assessment of Actual Vs Prognosed well stratigraphy
- Determination of accurate correlation of shale to shale with wells drilled around.
- Contribute to data that will help choose accurate coring and casing points
- Confirmation of datum horizons
- Electronic data in ASCII, which will be sent to companies’ designate on the rig and onshore
as often as required by geologist on the rig.
Our biostratigraphers would be available on the rig to provide real-time biostratigraphic
monitoring and analysis during drilling operations to support stratigraphic correlation,
reservoir navigation, and well placement.
